What looks at first like a classic black umbrella reveals a happy surprise when opened: a big, bright yellow smiley face on the design’s underside. Lightweight, portable and durable, this standard-size umbrella will make you happy when it rains.
The legend of the smiley face’s origin places it in 1971, when it was published as a symbol for happy news in the French newspaper France-Soir. Franklin Loufrani designed the smiley face for his column and invited viewers to “Take the Time to Smile!” Since then, Smiley has over become a happy icon that communicates positivity to the world. An emblem for anyone preferring to swap a narrative of despair with possibility and promise, the Smiley collection radiates a simple, universal joy.

- Standard size - 39”diam when opened.
