What is a rose hip? In the case of Russell organics, our rose hip oil comes from the Rosa mosques variety of rose. After the rose has flowered and the petals fall off, the plant will create what is known as a rose hip which contains seeds. The rose hip is harvested and the hip and the seeds are coldpressed. The runoff is rose hip oil. Coldpressed is best as it contains all of the original nutrients. Just like any other product, there are a number of quality levels for rose hip oil.
