This elegant plant is an excellent choice for those looking to add year-round interest and texture to their garden or landscape. In this article, we will discuss the overall characteristics of the Maki Podocarpus and its beautiful foliage. Maki Podocarpus is a slow-growing evergreen that typically reaches a height of 8 to 15 feet and a width of 5 to 8 feet. It thrives in USDA hardiness zones 7 to 11, making it suitable for various climates. The Maki Podocarpus is an ideal plant for a range of landscape applications, including foundation plantings, privacy screens, and hedges. It is also deer-resistant, making it a valuable addition to gardens where deer are a concern. One of the Maki Podocarpus's standout features is its attractive, dark green foliage. The plant's narrow, lance-shaped leaves are soft to the touch and arranged in a dense, upright manner, creating a unique, columnar appearance.
