The Upstream Plus offers more power than its Douglas Upstream ultra-lite counterparts, featuring a robust up-locking reel seat for battling larger fish. Crucially, it delivers a slightly faster action, making it ideal for anglers seeking both the power to land trophy fish and the finesse to handle delicate tippets and flies in challenging conditions. This rod is exceptional, perfectly balanced in size and flexibility. It excels in protecting light tippets, casting entire lines or short distances, and making precise casts between 20 and 70 feet, even to spooky trout. The Upstream Plus rods are a caster's dream, eliminating the struggle to make the perfect cast.
