- A Brand New Surface for Watercolor Art - Unlike traditional watercolor paper, PHOENIX Watercolor Canvas is a completely new painting ground. Designed for artists who want to explore fresh techniques and creative possibilities beyond paper.
- Paper‑Like Feel, but Different Absorbency - Medium‑texture cotton surface mimics cold‑press paper, yet absorbency is intentionally lower. Colors bloom naturally without soaking deep into the canvas. Best for dry brush and controlled washes – heavy wet‑in‑wet may create unique pooling effects that some artists use creatively.
- Correctable & Layer‑Friendly - The primer allows you to lift paint and adjust strokes even after drying. However, avoid aggressively brushing over soft edges when rewetting – colors stay on the surface, so gentle handling preserves your work. The canvas remains completely flat, no warping, even with heavy water use.
- Rigid Backing – No Taping or Stretching - MDF board on the back keeps the canvas perfectly rigid. Paint directly without taping paper to your workbench. Ready to use right out of the box.
- Safe & Versatile - AP and CE certified – non‑toxic. Works with watercolor, gouache, acrylic, pastels, and tempera. Cotton medium grain surface. Ideal for adults, artists, and professionals at any level.
