NTK MA0057 Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor

The MAP sensor determines the intake manifold pressure or vacuum. It sends a voltage signal to the ECM which changes with the varying pressure or vacuum within the intake manifold. The ECM uses this signal to determine engine load and ensure a proper air/fuel ratio. The MAP sensor is commonly found in the intake manifold, throttle body or can be remote mounted under hood. Causes for replacement include check engine lamp illumination, engine hesitation, poor fuel economy, failed emissions tests, engine stalling and extended crank time.

• Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor determines the intake manifold pressure or vacuum
• The ECM uses MAP sensor signals to determine engine load and ensure proper air/fuel ratio
• High strength thermoplastic is resistant to temperature, moisure and chemicals
• Properly sized grommet or O-ring is pre-installed when necessary
• This sensor is a major contributor to fuel injector pulse width and ignition and valve timing
