The National Control Devices 1-Channel DC Current Monitor I2C Mini Module is a very popular Hall-Effect current sensor from Allegro MicroSystems with 5-Amps current monitoring capability and high-speed 5 μS response time.
If you have a lot of processing power available, AC may be possible but, for this one, we recommend sticking to DC. Packaged in a convenient I2C Mini Module, this is a true plug-and-play current monitoring solution, scaleable to 9 devices per I2C port using 2 address jumpers. Includes I2C Cable.
