The MiniWorks filter handles the heavy lifting on bacteria, protozoa, and particulate through its ceramic/carbon element, delivering clean, taste-free water at one litre per minute with a 0.2 micron pore size. The carbon core removes unpleasant tastes and odours, and the ceramic element can be cleaned repeatedly in the field without tools to restore full flow rate when it starts to slow. When viruses are a concern, the included Aquatabs tablets add iodine-free viral protection without the unpleasant aftertaste that iodine-based treatments leave behind. Each tablet treats up to 2 quarts of water, and 50 individually packaged tablets are included.

Together, the system meets U.S. EPA requirements for microbiological water purifiers and NSF protocol P231 testing standards, covering viruses at 99.99%, bacteria at 99.9999%, and protozoa at 99.9%.
