A Vintage D-18 for the Modern Era Loaded with custom features and modern tech, the Martin D-18 Modern Deluxe puts a new spin on the quintessential Martin mahogany dreadnought. The D-18 Modern Deluxe includes vintage appointments such as a spruce VTS (Vintage Tone System) top, dovetail neck joint, and natural protein glue construction that deliver the rich, fully aged Martin sound that has inspired generations of guitarists and music lovers. The visuals — accented by East Indian rosewood binding, gold-colored frets, gold open-gear tuners, and a 1930s-style script logo — are unique in Martin production history. Modern features include a steel truss rod, Liquidmetal bridge pins with red dots, and a carbon fiber bridge plate that boosts volume and sustain without adding weight. And you’ll love the new asymmetrical neck shape that gives you maximum comfort up and down the fingerboard.Top wood aged to perfection with Martin’s VTS Sweetwater’s tone
