Among Morrie Backun's latest designs, the Lumire Bells stand out with a double voicing groove, unlike the MoBa and original Backun bells that have a single groove. This double groove aims to enhance tuning and response stability in the clarion register. Notably, these bells can be swapped between Bb and A clarinets, and they feature a carbon fiber tenon that offers superior resistance to cracking compared to metal or wood. However, they are compatible only with Backun, Buffet, Royal, and Uebel clarinets, excluding Selmer models.
- Dual Voicing Groove: Stabilizes tuning and response
- Versatile Design: Compatible with Bb and A clarinets
- Durable Tenon: Carbon fiber for enhanced stability
- Superior to Metal Tenons
- Compatibility Note: Not suitable for Selmer clarinets
