A: Yes, absolutely. These lens guards are precision-engineered specifically for the Insta360 X5 camera. They feature the same twist-lock mechanism as the original, ensuring a perfect, seamless fit. Just align the notch with the camera’s microphone, and you're ready to shoot. Q2: Can I use this underwater? / Is it waterproof? A: These lens guards are designed for dry land and everyday adventures (hiking, biking, snow, etc.). They are NOT recommended for underwater use. If you plan to take your camera diving or snorkeling, please remove the guards beforehand to prevent moisture from getting trapped between the glass and the lens. Q3: How does this compare to the original Insta360 brand guard? A: iDaPro guards offer the same level of essential protection: both use premium tempered glass (9H hardness) and feature the quick twist-lock installation. The main difference is that our kit includes a bonus reusable ABS storage case to keep your guards organized and scratch-free when not in use, offering better value for your money. Q4: Does it affect the video/image quality? / Will it cause blur or fisheye distortion?A: No, it won't. The glass is multi-coated to maintain 99.99% HD clarity. It is designed to work perfectly with the X5's lenses without causing blur, dark spots, or interfering with the stitching function. As long as you keep the glass clean, your footage will remain crisp and clear. Q5: Is it easy to install? / Do I need tools to put it on?A: Very easy! It uses a simple twist-lock mechanism—just like the original. No tools or adhesives are needed. Simply place the guard over the lens and twist until it clicks into place. Important: Make sure the small notch on the guard is aligned with the camera's microphone for proper recognition. Q6: Is this made of glass or plastic? / How can I tell it's real tempered glass?A: It is made of genuine 9H tempered glass, not plastic. It has the hardness to resist scratches and drops, which plastic cannot provide. While the edges have a flexible coating to help with installation (which is normal for modern glass protectors), the core protective layer is solid glass. It offers military-grade protection for your valuable lenses.
