- For a Thriving Colony – Real Pollen from the USA for Colony Nutrition: Trusted by beekeepers worldwide, Hive Alive Pollen Patties provide supplemental nutrition made with your choice of 4% or 15% USA pollen (and no animal protein). A natural, high-quality source of the nutrients bees consume in nature, making it a preferred method for supplementing colony nutrition.
- The Right Ratio of Nutrients for Brood Rearing: Each patty contains a concentrated full dose of Hive Alive liquid along with essential amino acids and seaweed extracts. Shown in trials to support increased colony population, brood production, and honey production. A readily available source of the nutrition needed during and after laying.
- Optimal Nutrition All Year: Use Hive Alive Pollen Patties to supplement pollen in times of dearth, to support population growth and production throughout the year, and to provide readily available nutrition when natural forage is limited.
- 4% or 15%? The percentage of pollen you choose depends on the needs of your hives and your desired rate of brood buildup. In spring, a 15% ratio encourages rapid buildup in preparation for upcoming honey flow. If you begin feeding early, a 4% ratio suffices until natural pollen becomes available. Pollen is the best source of protein for bees, so where possible, we recommend the 15% ratio.
- Simple to Use: Gently smoke the bees down and place a patty directly over the frames as close to brood as possible. The bees will remove the paper as needed to access the patty. The blend of real pollen and Hive Alive has bees feeding quickly and efficiently
