- Three Generations, One Standard: DOU by Uncle Chen has been making chili oil for 60 years. Our recipe goes back to 1960s Taiwan and has been trusted by thousands of professional kitchens across America for over 40 years. Same recipe, same facility, now available direct to your kitchen.
- Made with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Not Soybean Oil: DOU uses extra virgin olive oil for a cleaner flavor and better quality. This is a pure chili oil for cooking, drizzling, and finishing — no crisps, no sediment, no bits at the bottom.
- Made in our Own Facility, Not Co-Packed: Every bottle is produced in-house at our Northern California facility. We source our own peppers and control the entire infusion process. No co-packers, no white-label suppliers, no cutting corners with cheaper base oils.
- Clean Ingredients, Real Craft: Vegan, Gluten Free, Low Sodium, Non-GMO. No artificial flavors, no preservatives, no soybean oil. Just extra virgin olive oil, chili peppers, and 60 years of knowing exactly how long to infuse them.
- A Pure Chili Oil, Not a Chili Crisp: This is a versatile cooking and finishing oil, not a condiment full of crunchy bits. Drizzle on pizza, noodles, or dumplings. Use it for stir-frying, mapo tofu, or dan dan noodles. Add heat to dressings and marinades. If you already have a chili crisp, this is the complement — pure chili oil for everything else.
