Diary of a Confused Educator

Diary of a Confused Educator charts the journey of Ashanti Branch M.Ed.-award-winning teacher, mentor and founder of the Ever Forward Club and the #MillionMaskMovement-over his past two decades of impact. When Ashanti began teaching math near Oakland, CA where he was born and raised, he thought getting students to study and pass tests would be his biggest challenge. Through humour, compassion and vulnerability, he recounts trying to meet his students where they were-while pushing them beyond the masks they wore to hide their true selves. It shows us what happens when one person dares to listen, connect, and believe that every young person deserves a space in which they are safe enough to discover, and be, authentically themselves.
