The Data Express 50 SAS/SATA removable drive carrier and frame is a reliable and versatile removable enclosure combination for 2.5" SAS or SATA drives. The DE50 frame and carrier are constructed of solid steel and sturdy lightweight plastic and fits into any 3.5" floppy or 5.25" peripheral bay, including CDROM slots. The Data Express 50 6G receiving frame offers 6 Gbps performance when used with a 6 Gbps drive and host configuration. The Data Express 50 enclosure is also compatible with 3 Gbps drives and host configurations, with its performance limited by the drive/host interface.
- Supports SAS or SATA 3 Gbps and 6 Gbps
- Highly-rated mating connectors support up to 20K insertions
- Soft start circuitry assures data integrity by eliminating in-rush current during spin-up and avoiding power arcing during insertion
- Key lock functions as a locking device for security purposes and as an on-off switch
- Exceeds rotational vibration and heat dissipation requirements of today's high speed drives
