Artwork Earth 02

From above, Klaus D. Francke captures our 'blue planet', a vast canvas of colors and forms, a mystical artwork born of a dazzling, otherworldly imagination. A co-founder of the Bilderberg Agency, Francke has lensed for esteemed magazines like Geo, Stern, and Merian, earning accolades for his work. For two decades, he's photographed the world from 300 to 1,500 meters above in a Cessna 172. His bird's-eye views of Ireland, Iceland, and the globe have been praised as 'dreamscapes' by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Even as viewers, we feel we're soaring beside him. A small Icelandic lake transforms into a stunning puzzle, organic structures morphing into a masterfully composed artwork that mirrors nature's mysteries and hints at human artistry. Our captivation lies in this visual ambiguity and the rich colors that Alexander Smoltczyk likens to Van Gogh's palette and Monet's lighting effects.
