Level 4 Padding — Beyond Standard Foam
Level 4 is the highest comfort level in the Specialized line — above Level 3 on the Bridge Sport. Combined with Air Foam technology, the Rivo Sport delivers more cushioning than performance saddles. The trade-off: more comfort means more weight and less direct power transfer.
Air Foam vs. Standard Foam
Air Foam technology adds air-filled chambers within the foam structure — providing additional shock absorption beyond standard foam. The saddle absorbs more road vibration and bumps, reducing fatigue on long rides. It's not the adaptive support of Mirror or MIMIC, but it's a meaningful step up from conventional foam.
385g — Note the Weight
At 385g (155mm), the Rivo Sport is significantly heavier than performance saddles. This is the cost of maximum comfort — steel rails and Level 4/Air Foam add weight. If you're riding a hybrid or city bike for transportation or casual rides, this weight is irrelevant.
